Health secretary for the Cook Islands, Tupu Arati has been appointed the Ministry of Health's Pacific Island health manager.
Tupu Arati is a respected government official, who has held numerous positions of responsibility, both here and in the Cook Islands, says the ministry's deputy director-general of public health, Dr Don Matheson.
Other roles held include executive officer at New Zealand's Department of Foreign Affairs and Budgets Officer of the former Wellington Area Health Board.
