FLU RISKS UNDERSTOOD
The level of public awareness about the risks associated with influenza is good, a Ministry of Health study has found.
Early data from the study shows more than 90% of surveyed people aged 65 years and older, knew that influenza was a serious disease.
Around 75% of people aged 65 and older surveyed had taken advantage of the free vaccination last year.
The survey also target doctors and nurses, and found that more than 65% of them had been immunised.
