KIDSAFE WEEK

Pharmacists are being asked to support Kidsafe Week 2001 by distributing pamphlets on preventing poisonings to customers.

Thousands of pamphlets will be sent out in the lead up to the national week, and will provide tips for families on how to prevent poisonings to preschoolers.

An estimated 10 preschoolers a week are admitted to hospitals after poisoning themselves, most by swallowing medicines.
