Geographical areas with a high level of need and population will be the focus of new initiatives to improve the overall health and reduce social inequalities for Pacific people.
The initiatives will be funded under the Pacific Provider Development Fund (PPDF), which was reinstated by the Government last year when it announced funding of $15 million in the next three years.
There are four priority areas for the PPDF - strengthening existing Pacific providers, development of the existing workforce, workforce and leadership scholarships, and best practice and research.
