ARTHRITIS RAFFLE
Arthritis New Zealand have launched a national raffle, as a fundraising venture to maintain the health, education and support services provided by the organisation.
The winner will drive away in a new Mitsubishi Lancer, and help people with arthritis.
Each year, Arthritis New Zealand provides 45,000 client contacts for people with chronic arthritis, and provides general support services for another 92,000. Information material is provided to hundreds of thousands more.
The total cost of this is $3.9 million each year, with the government providing $278,000 a year.
