Arthritis, New Zealand's major cause of disability and chronic pain, will be the focus of three free health seminars in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch this month.
Arthritis affects one in four New Zealanders, and accounts for around 20% of all patient visits to GPs.
The seminars are designed for health professionals and patients. People with arthritis and other musculoskeletal conditions such as osteoporosis can hear the latest options and developments from leading rheumatologists and other health professionals, together with patients living successfully with arthritis.
The seminars are the major initiative for this year for the decade of Bone and Joint.
Seminars will be held in Auckland on March 10, Christchurch on March 17 and Wellington on March 24. For more information, or to register your interest to attend, phone 85.
