NEW HOSPITAL ANTIBIOTIC
Merck Sharp and Dohme has launched its new hospital antibiotic treatment, INVANZ to the New Zealand market.
INVANZ is for the initial therapy of community-acquired mixed infections (eg.intra-abdominal and skin structure infections).
INVANZ is active against a wide range of common gram-positive and gram-negative aerobic and anaerobic bacterial pathogens.
Applications are being made to have the drug included onto New Zealand formularies around the country.
