A series of free workshops are soon to run nationwide to educate people about their rights when using a health or disability service.
Disabled Person's Assembly representatives, who are themselves disabled, will run the two-hour workshops, covering the Code of Health and Disability Services Consumers' Rights, the role of the commissioner and talk about how to make complaints. The talks will also provide an opportunity for people to meet their local health and disability consumer advocate.
