People have been slow to offer themselves for nomination as DHB members and time is running out. This is the first time in over 10 years the public has had the opportunity to stand as candidates but it seems the role is not as desirable as, say, getting to the top of a surgery waiting list. Director of DHB elections David Curry says he expects nominations to increase considerably over the next week. People thinking of standing have until midday, 24 August.
