APPEAL DATE SET

Auckland pharmacist Kerry Bell's appeal against a Pharmaceutical Society disciplinary decision gets underway on December 14 in Auckland.

The hearing will focus on the penalties handed down to Kerry Bell after the society's disciplinary committee found him guilty of professional misconduct in March.

The charges related to the failure to ascertain whether sales of medicines over the internet were appropriate and safe for buyers.

He was suspended for three years, fined the maximum $10,000 and ordered to pay costs of up to $50,000.

The Chairman of the Board of Appeal is Judge Paul Barber.
