5 October 2001 News Update

TRANS-TASMAN WEBSITE

The New Zealand and Australian governments have launched a new website, intended to improve public and industry awareness about a proposed trans-Tasman agency that regulates therapeutic goods.

The website (www.itaproject.com) is one way the governments can keep the manufacturers and importers of pharmaceuticals, medical devices and dietary supplements informed of progress, says the Health Minster.

While both governments have agreed in principle to set an agency, considerable work is still needed on how the agency might work.
