BELL APPEAL UNRESOLVED

Kerry Bell's appeal against the Pharmaceutical Society's disciplinary actions is dragging on as legal discussion continues over several matters relating to aspects of the appeal.

Earlier this year the society came down hard on Kerry Bell, suspending him for three years and fining him the maximum $10,000 for professional misconduct arising from his involvement in an internet pharmacy site. In addition he was ordered to pay up to $50,000 costs.

However, several months after the appeal was presented to the Appeal Board, it is still unresolved as lawyers discuss whether some matters fall outside the jurisdiction of the law.
